An accident involving two horses occurred in the fourth race at Hippodrome 3R on Thursday, July 2.

D A Winnie, driven by Steeven Genois, was tipping out of third on the final turn but went on a break, lost her footing and fell. Francis Picard aboard Frilly Lilly took evasive action but was unable to avoid a collision as the sulkies hooked wheels and dislodged both drivers. No other horses were involved in the incident.

Picard and Genois got up quickly and continued driving on the day after being evaluated. Both horses walked off the track and returned to the paddock.
