Thirteen Enter Meadowlands Pace; Single Elim Set
Thirteen three-year-old pacers entered the Meadowlands Pace, making one elimination necessary on Saturday, July 4 at Meadowlands Racetrack.
With 13 entries, byes were offered to the horses with the highest career earnings. Brandon Blvd, Bookie J and Ubrute declined the byes, while Al Papi, Melillo and Lindy Dragonwater accepted byes into the final schedule for Saturday, July 11.
There will be a full field of 10 in Saturday’s lone Pace elimination. Here is the field in post order.

Noticeably absent from the entries is the reigning Horse of the Year, Beau Jangles, whose connections reported on Monday that he would not be entered in the Meadowlands Pace due to a lung infection.
In addition to the Pace elimination, Saturday’s race card is loaded with stakes action:

The Saturday, July 4 card has a special early post time of 6 p.m. FS1 will broadcast the racing action beginning at 8 p.m. Following the races, a free fireworks display will celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary.
