C Millertime Again Quickest In DSBF Splits

C Millertimeagain ($2.10) was the fastest of a trio of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) $28,571 preliminary divisions for three-year-old male pacers on Monday, June 29 at Harrington Raceway, with a 1:51.4 triumph.

Driven by Corey Callahan, the Roddys Bags Again-Total Conviction gelding sat second through an opening quarter of :27 before moving to the top and asserting himself with middle-half fractions of :56 and 1:24 and cruising home a six-length winner over Slugger On Deck (Allan Davis) and My Boy Branson (Brandon Givens).

Molly Gara trains C Millertime Again, with the winner of four of five this season owned by Ervin Miller Stable of Debary, Florida as well as Joellen Frawley and James Knowlton of Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Not to be outdone, Watch Em Win ($2.10) was a 1:52.4 10-length winner in his division over Get Up Heels (Russell Foster) and Hes Peeping (Jason Thompson) after leading every step through fractions of :28.1, :56.4 and 1:26 for Tim Tetrick.

The Hes Watching-Winners Over colt completed a sweep of both legs for trainer Ron Burke and is owned by Burke Racing Stable of Fredericktown, Pennsylvania, Knox Services of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Phillip Collura of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania and Weaver Bruscemi of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

The favourite also won the final division as Roman Raider ($2.80) and Brandon Givens prevailed on the engine in 1:55 after fractions of :27.3, :58 and 1:27 over Arette (Allan Davis) and Savage Warrior (Art Stafford Jr.). 

The Sports Column-Pillage gelding recorded his fourth lifetime win for trainer Wayne Givens. Roman Raider is owned by Legacy Racing of DE of Seaford, Delaware and Hazzard Racing Stables of Millsboro, Delaware.

The top-eight point earners from the two legs will return to compete in the $110,000 USD finals on July 23 as part of the Delaware State Fair racing program.

In the overnight feature, the $32,143 Open Pace, Wehadababyetzaboy ($8.20) remained razor sharp with his third straight triumph by five lengths, overcoming post eight with a 1:52 victory for driver Brandon Givens. Stevens Saloon (Jason Thompson) and Wager On Me (Mike Cole) rounded out the top three.

It was his eighth win of the year for the Chuck Crissman Jr.-trained seven-year-old son of Sweet Lou and Camille. EVM Racing of Middletown, Delaware owns Wehadababyetzaboy, a 32-time career winner. 

The final DSBF split and Open were part of a six-pack for Givens, who also tacked on victories in the sulky aboard All Out Hanover ($11, 1:53.1), Prestigious Prince ($73, 1:54.3), Renaissance Deo ($8, 1:52.4) and Armada Hanover ($2.80, 1:53.1).
