K T Part E, Premier Desirey Win Banks Memorial Elims
The Sunday, June 21 harness racing program at Running Aces featured two eliminations for the 2026 Ron Banks Memorial Free-For-All distaff pace, each going for a purse of $24,648, as well as the weekly $22,535 Open Handicap Trot.
K T Part E delivered a big performance in the first elimination as driver Brady Jenson floated her away in fifth position early before making a big mid-race move to the front of the field and then drawing away from rivals in the homestretch by 3-3/4 lengths in a career-best 1:51.3 mile. Fox Valley Groupie (Dean Magee) was clearly second best and JK My Girl (Casey Leonard) picked up the pieces late for third over Teelatini (Luke Plano).

Premier Desirey rolled to her fourth straight win in the second elimination, stopping the clock in 1:51.4. With a confident steer from driver Rick Magee, Premier Desirey wasted no time in getting to the front of the affair and the pair was never in doubt. Heart Song (Lemoyne Svendsen) rallied past pocket-sitter Wish I Had Thyme (Luke Plano) late to pick up the place spot and Miss Fancy Nancy (Brady Jenson) was home in fourth. The winning margin for Premier Desirey was 2-1/2 lengths.
The talented nine-year-old daughter of Real Desire-Premier Mirage has won half of her eight starts this year and now has 20 career victories for owner/trainer Harold Herrera. Sent postward as the heavy favourite, Premier Desirey paid $2.60 to win.
The Herrera-trained trotter Escaper surged in the final strides for driver Rick Magee for the second straight week to capture victory in the Open Handicap, getting up by a neck over Peanutbutterfalcon (Scott Cisco) and favourite Fifty Rivers (Casey Leonard) in a three-way photo finish in 1:54.4 to equal his career-best time once again.
Escaper is a five-year-old son of Muscle Hill-Top Expectations, owned by Rotiboy4eva Racing Stable of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania. He is now three-for-12 this year and boasts 22 career victories with earnings of $372,538. Escaper paid $7.60 to win as a the 5-2 second choice on the betting board.
