A hard-hitting Preferred Pace will headline the 13-dash program on Saturday, June 20 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

First post time is 6 p.m. (ADT), with the $6,250 Preferred feature lining up in Race 12.

Get Wings has been installed as the top choice from post five with Jason Hughes in the seat for owners Gary Ford and Janet Kinney. The four-year-old son of Betterthancheddar was third in the Cecil Ladner Memorial last week after defeating the top pacers on the Eastern Seaboard in his Island debut on June 6. Vaughan Doyle handles the training duties.

Twin B Tuffenuff gets post six as the second choice and is reunited with Gilles Barrieau for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Pat Morris.

Fast Louie has post one as another major player with Ken Murphy listed to drive for owners Max Webster Stable, trainer Jennifer Doyle and Ryan MacLaughlin. The son of Sweet Lou sat last and stormed home to finish fourth in the Ladner Memorial last week.

Phil My Beer has post two for trainer-driver Landon Campbell and owners Carl Stafford, Brent Campbell, Bernard MacDonald and Kent MacDonald.

Impeccable Shadow has post three for trainer-driver Paul Langille and owners Dale & Ronnie Rennie Inc., and Melissa Rennie while Nothing Bugs Me rounds out the field with trainer Vaughan Doyle and owner Chris Kelly from post four.

The Post Time Picks like Fast Louie on top after his performance over a wet track in the Ladner Memorial.

“Take a closer look at the chart line from last week because Fast Louie closed in 28 seconds flat from post eight. Now he draws the rail and is going to get a sweet journey from here so there could be a minor upset brewing.”

The back-up class goes for a $4,650 purse in the ninth, with Trumpster Blues the morning line favourite from post three. Adam Merner gets the driving call for owner Tommy Collings and trainer David O’Brien after a solid second-place finish to Ammo in his Island debut in last week’s Ladner Memorial. Nuttin But Finesse has post two for driver Mike Downey while T H Boomtown gets post five with Barrieau in the seat.
