Legacys Jailbreak Locks Up Harrington Open
Legacys Jailbreak was winless in 17 starts to begin the season, but the mare is now three-for-three since coming to Harrington Raceway as she rose to the $31,250 Open Handicap Trot level and scored a commanding victory on Wednesday, June 17.
The lone mare in the field was sent to the lead at 15-1 by Brandon Givens and authored early fractions of :29.1 and :58.3. With Dyladmar (Russell Foster) first-over and Speed Away (Corey Callahan) in the tow, Legacys Jailbreak led to three-quarters in 1:27.1. She rebuffed the challenger and cruised home to win in 1:56.1, 1-1/2 lengths clear of Speed Away, who gave chase on the outside to grab second. A Blue Million (Tony Morgan) finished third.
Legacys Jailbreak was acquired by Vincent Bradley and Keesha Givens in May and shipped from Ontario to Delaware, where she is perfect in three outings. The six-year-old Dontyouforgetit-Charlie Cs Legacy mare, trained by Bradley, scored her 20th career win in 73 starts. She paid $33.40 to win.
The victory was part of a driving triple for Givens on the 15-race card. Eddie Dennis and Cody Poliseno each had driving doubles.
