Captaincountrystar ($5.80), driven by Pat Berry, was an open-length winner in the $31,250 Open Pace on Monday, June 15 at Harrington Raceway.

This week’s field featured four different horses who have won the event this meet. Hundred Dollar Man (Tony Morgan) marched to the lead from post position five and set fractions of :27.2 and :56.1 before Captain Countrystar pushed forward and cleared the lead past the half-mile and took the field to three-quarters in 1:24.1, while Hundred Dollar Man waited in the pocket as the outer flow stalled. Captaincountrystar surged through the stretch as Hundred Dollar Man tired, to earn his third win of the year. Saulsbrook Genesis (Corey Callahan) was second with Mr Three O Five (Montrell Teague third.

The win was the 41st lifetime for the six-year-old Captaintreacherous-Well Whats New gelding. Captaincountrystar is trained by Traci Berry and owned by Tlb Racing of Harrington, Delaware.

Earlier on the card, the Molly Gara-trained C Millertimeagain ($2.10) dazzled in his final prep for Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund three-year-old stakes action, which starts June 22, with a dominant 1:53.2 triumph in rein to Corey Callahan. The Roddys Bags Again-Total Conviction gelding earned $158,153 as a two-year-old and seems poised to make a splash as a sophomore, fresh off a trio of decisive victories to start his three-year-old campaign for owners Erv Miller of Debary, Florida, and James Frawley and James Knowlton, both of Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Brandon Givens had three wins on the card. Corey Callahan had a pair of wins.
