House Edge Hanover made no mistakes in the featured $6,250 Preferred 2 Pace on Tuesday, June 9 at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway for his second straight victory in the class.

Jason Hughes sent the Ron Matheson-trained House Edge Hanover to the front in the feature and rated him to fractions of :27.3, :57 and 1:27. The five-year-old gelding closed in :28 for the 1:55 victory by 1-1/4 lengths over Doc Awesome (Paul Langille). Brigus (Adam Merner) completed the ticket.

The winning son of Betting Line-Hug A Dragoness is owned by Everette Hanson of Maugerville, N.B. House Edge Hanover has won three of his four starts this season and is now 24-for-60 lifetime with $90,205 in earnings. He paid $2.10 to win.

Merigo Magic ($3.60) won the 10th-race sub-featured conditioned pace in 1:54.4 for trainer-driver Adam Merner and owners Mike May, Herman McQuaid and Derrick Cameron of Charlottetown, P.E.I.

Fern Hill Kream ($5.80) opened the program with a 1:56 score for reinsman Brodie MacPhee and trainer Tom Weatherbie. The filly is owned by Peter Smith of Stratford, P.E.I. and Gerald Morrissey of Charlottetown.

Tahoe Seelster ($2.60) delivered as the heavy favourite in the second race for Merner and Weatherbie, winning in 1:55.3 for owner Wayne McGean of Sydney Mines, N.S.

Wickedluck ($11.70) gave Paul Langille a driving win in the third race, stopping the clock in 2:04 for trainer Tyler Desroches, who co-owns the gelding with Darrell Desroches, Barry Strongman and Rowan Desroches of Summerside, P.E.I.

P L Quicksand ($2.60) front-stepped to a 1:55.1 victory in Race 4 for driver Corey MacPherson and trainer William Companion of Miscouche, P.E.I., who shares ownership with Kelvin Ramsay of Summerside.

First Glance ($2.10) took the fifth race 1:57.1 for pilot Ken Murphy, trainer Chris Davies and owner Max Webster Stable of Inverness, N.S. Your Lucky Stars ($4.90) won Race 6 in 2:02 for MacPherson, trainer Taylor Doyle and owners Hailee Currie of Rocky Point, P.E.I. and Carol Campbell of Baddeck, N.S.

Regret Nothing ($20.50) pulled the upset in the seventh race in 1:58.3 with Merner in the bike for trainer Earl Watts and owners Windemere Farms of Springvale, P.E.I., Clive Balderston of Moncton, N.B., R & B Stables of Saint John, N.B. and Matt Burke of Stratford.

Mia ($2.70) was sharp in the eighth race, scoring in 1:57.4 for trainer-driver Merner and owner Brittany Watts of Springvale. Thelastartie ($25.70) rallied to win Race 9 in 1:58.2 for Langille, trainer Earl Watts and owner Windemere Farms.

Melody Maker ($5.80) captured Race 11 in 1:56.4 for MacPherson and owner-trainer Gregory MacInnis of Tyne Valley, P.E.I. Brokeandoutofgas ($5) won the 12th dash in 1:57 for driver Landon Campbell and owner-trainer Tammy Collings of Hazel Brook, P.E.I.

Mappo Oriley ($4.60) closed out the 14-dash card in 1:58 for MacPherson, trainer Taylor Doyle and owner Hailee Currie.

MacPherson and Merner led all drivers with four wins each on the card. Merner, Earl Watts, Taylor Doyle and Tom Weatherbie each recorded training doubles.
