House Edge Hanover Looks To Repeat At Summerside

House Edge Hanover

House Edge Hanover will look to keep his sharp form rolling on Tuesday, June 9 in the $6,250 Preferred Pace at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The Prince County oval has a 14-dash presentation starting at 6 p.m. (ADT), with the Preferred pacers lining up in race 13.

House Edge Hanover, the 5-2 morning line favourite, has post four in the five-horse field with Jason Hughes in the bike for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Everett Hanson of Maugerville, N.B. The five-year-old son of Betting Line-Hug A Dragoness was a winner in his latest start in Summerside, stopping the clock in 1:54.3 while defeating Doc Awesome and Sauble Attack. He has been razor sharp since returning to action and has been in the money in all three of his starts this season.

Louie The Great has rail control with Corey MacPherson in the seat for trainer Les Waite, who co-owns with Leith and Spencer Waite. The four-year-old son of Dancin Lou-Tinkerbella was a winner in 1:56.1 in his latest.

Brigus has post two for driver Adam Merner and trainer Nicholas Oakes. The five-year-old Betterthancheddar-Bachata Hanover gelding has been a model of consistency this season with three wins, a second and two thirds from nine starts while racing for owner/breeder Milton Young of Paradise, Nfld.

Doc Awesome leaves from post three with Paul Langille driving for trainer Darla MacEachern, who co-owns with Allen Gaudet and Mike Cameron of Summerside, P.E.I. The six-year-old All Bets Off-Direct Macawesome gelding was second to House Edge Hanover in his latest Summerside start.

Sauble Attack gets post five with Ken Murphy listed to drive for trainer and owner Paul Biggar and co-owner Donald Callbeck of Summerside. The eight-year-old Bettors Delight-Ambrosia Seelster gelding has already been a winner in 1:54.4 this season at Red Shores Summerside.

The "Post Time Picks" has selected House Edge Hanover on top: “House Edge Hanover has quietly become one of the sharpest horses in this group and was a powerful winner in his latest while defeating some of these same rivals. He has the versatility to leave or sit close, and with Hughes calling the shots, we think he keeps the momentum rolling and gets it all.”
