The top pacers on the Eastern Seaboard will go back to battle on Saturday, June 6 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval has a 13-dash presentation with a 6 p.m. (ADT) opening post time and the $7,000 Preferred 1 Pace taking centre stage in Race 12.

Bee Two Bee has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite from post four with Jason Hughes in the bike for trainer Ashley Gamester and owners Donald MacRae and Blair MacLauchlan. The nine-year-old son of Sunshine Beach has been a force at this level already this season and was a 1:52.3 front-end winner in his latest.

Blood Money leaves from post two as the 3-1 second choice with Gilles Barrieau driving for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Dr. Mitchell Downey of Saint John, N.B. The Sweet Lou pacer has toyed with top-level company all season before having his win streak snapped last week by Bee Two Bee.

Twin B Tuffenuff has post five for driver Corey MacPherson and trainer Ron Matheson as the 7-2 third choice. The Rock N Roll Heaven pacer was absent from the Preferred 1 last week but was a winner on May 23 defeating Bee Two Bee in 1:52.1 for owner Pat Morris.

Get Wings makes his Island debut after racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park this far this season. Marc Campbell picks up the drive for trainer Vaughan Doyle and owners Gary Ford and Janet Kinney. Get Wings is a four-time winner in 2026 with a mark of 1:52.1 and was raced timed in 1:49 while racing the Open level at Woodbine Mohawk Park against Canadian half-mile record holder Bruno No No No.

Nuttin But Finesse has rail control with Mike Downey aboard for trainer Ellen Stevenson and owner Dr. Downey, while Matheson trainee T H Boomtown will leave from post six with Ken Murphy driving for owners Dr. Don Ling and Wayne MacDougall.

The Post Time Picks likes Bee Two Bee on top.

“Hughes and Bee Two Bee didn’t wait long last week getting to the front and going right down the Red Shores Highway to victory. He lines up in the same spot this week and coming off that effort we’re calling for a repeat performance.”
