Jett Propelled, Thompson Shine At Harrington
Jason Thompson scored five wins at Harrington Raceway on Tuesday, June 2, including the $31,250 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace with Jett Propelled.
Jett Propelled made two early moves to the lead from post four, touching down in front first and performing a give-and-go with Almost Persuaded (Russell Foster) to take over past the quarter in :27.2. She then set middle fractions of :55.2 and 1:25. After fighting off a first-over bid from Melody Hanover (Mike Cole), Jett Propelled held off a fierce late rally from Gogettermisscheddr (Tony Morgan) to pick up her seventh win of the year in 20 starts with a 1:53.1 clocking. Gogettermisscheddr missed by a head. Almost Persuaded was third.
Jett Propelled, a five-year-old daughter of Roddys Bags Again-Jett Away, has had a banner campaign, earning $197,831 already in 2026. Bob Shahan owns and trains the homebred mare. The win price was $2.60.
Thompson's five-win night included guiding 10-year-old In Thought ($28.40) to a lifetime mark of 1:54.3 for owner Allan Pullman and trainer Eddie Davis. He also won with Hangon Cowgirl ($5.60), Scrivener Hanover ($3) and Feathers Ruffled ($4) on the 14-race card. The reinsman is 54-for-498 this season.
An accident occurred in the third race in which Tough One Hanover (Trae Porter), travelling three-wide down the backstretch, broke stride and backed into Philly View (Allan Davis), who fell. Davis got to his feet and fulfilled the remainder of his drives. Tough One Hanover stayed up in the incident, and all other horses were unaffected. Updates on those involved will be posted if made available.
Also on the card, Crissman Inc.’s Some Waratah A ($2.20, Tony Morgan) notched his 47th career win in his 117th lifetime start in 1:56.
