Racing Returns To Hiawatha Horse Park Saturday

Hiawatha Horse Park will host live harness racing for the first time this year on Saturday, May 23 with a 10-race card beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The 2026 meet at the five-eighths-mile oval in Sarnia, Ont. will run through September with racing on Saturday evenings. Post time each night is 6:30 p.m. 

The season's highlights will include multiple Ontario Sires Stakes with a leg of the Grassroots Series for three-year-old pacing colts on July 18 and two-year-old pacing fillies on Sept. 12, in addition to many Prospect Series events throughout the summer.

The track will once again offer its "loonie and toonie night" promotion on the first Saturday of each month with programs and pop for $1 each and hotdogs for $2.

Programs and live streaming of the races are available online via the track's website at hiawathahorsepark.ca, with wagering available on hpibet.com.
