Race Reports From MPHRC Now Available
The Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission (MPHRC) has partnered with Standardbred Canada (SC) to post daily judges' reports from Atlantic Canada's Standardbred racetracks on the SC website.
Launched in 2017 as a pilot project between SC and Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), race reports from senior judges at Ontario's racetracks have been posted on the SC website daily for the past nine years. The reports from judges in Alberta were added in July 2024.
“The MPHRC is committed to maintaining a racing industry built on integrity, transparency, and public confidence,” said Derek Folland, Director of Racing for the Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission. “Making judges' reports publicly available provides participants and fans with greater access to information and a better understanding of the officiating and regulatory process.”
Reports from tracks under MPHRC jurisdiction — active currently, Red Shores Charlottetown and Northside Downs — can be accessed through the Judges Race Reports link located under the Racing menu. Reports from judges in Atlantic Canada, Alberta and Ontario will continue to be posted when made available, most often on the night of the racing card. Race reports were available from judges in British Columbia prior to the closure of Fraser Downs.
"At Standardbred Canada, we pride ourselves in the creation of a platform that positions the SC website as harness racing's homepage, providing trusted and timely news and features, up-to-the-minute racing data and important industry information to its members and fans of Standardbred racing," added Jeff Porchak, SC's Director of Digital Communications. "We look forward to working with Derek and the MPHRC on this initiative."
