Yourtheone Crushes For Fifth Straight Score

Harness racing at Flamboro Downs

Yourtheone made the step up to face $10,000 claimers in a $7,300 dash for pacing males and emphatically extended his winning streak with a blowout victory on Thursday, May 7 at Flamboro Downs.

The Jodie Cullen trainee, a wire-to-wire winner by more than four lengths in his past two outings at the $8,000 claiming level, went coast-to-coast again on Thursday. He fired out of the three-hole for Travis Cullen and forced the hard-leaving Flying Art A (Damian MacLellan) to take the pocket on the first turn. Yourtheone led through :27.2 and :57.1 middle fractions and accelerated clear by four lengths on the way to three-quarters in 1:24.3. The gelding then strolled home to a 4-3/4-length victory in a seasonal-best 1:53.1. Id Imagine (Tyler Borth) charged from last at three-quarters for second over Make Me An Offer (Scott Coulter).

Yourtheone, an eight-year-old son of Shanghai Phil-Millbanks Ariel, notched his 48th career victory in 184 starts while upping his bankroll to $322,499. Owned A1stable of Dundas, Ont., he has won five straight starts since returning to the barn of Jodie Cullen, who bred the gelding, and is six-for-20 this year. The win price was $3.80.
