First Foal Of Jiggy Jog S Arrives

The highly anticipated first foal of multi-millionaire trotting mare Jiggy Jog S has arrived.

The Svanstedt Stable reported the arrival of Jiggy Jog S's first foal, sired by Tactical Landing, born on Saturday, April 18.  

"Mom and baby are doing great, and everything went smoothly," said a social media post by the Svanstedt Stable on Sunday, April 19. "She’s absolutely adorable, and we’re so excited to watch her grow and see what the future holds."

Trained by Ake Svanstedt, Jiggy Jog S won 24 of her 41 career starts while earning more than $3.5 million and back-to-back Dan Patch Awards as Older Trotting Mare of the Year in 2023 and 2024. A two-time Breeders Crown champion, she took her lifetime mark of 1:49.2 winning the John Cashman Memorial at The Meadowlands during her perfect 2024 stakes campaign that also included her richest career win in the $1,351,351 Yonkers International Trot over an extended 1-1/4-mile distance against a group of male trotters.

The seven-year-old Walner-Hot Mess Hanover mare is owned by Ake Svanstedt Inc. of Wrightstown, New Jersey, Steve Stewart of Paris, Kentucky, John Lengacher of Grabill, Indiana and Hickory Hollow Stables of Spencerville, Indiana.

Jiggy Jog S was originally reported to be booked to Muscle Hill but didn't catch. Sarah Svanstedt told Trot Insider that the mare will be bred to Captain Corey this year.

The popular trotter garnered the most votes in recent Standardbred Canada polls asking fans about the the first foal they would like to own from the top 20 money-earning fillies and mares of 2024 and who would win a race among 13 fastest trotters in harness racing history.
