The complete 2026 schedule for the $15 million Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) program has now been released.

This year, the $2.4 million OSS Super Finals ($300,000 for each of the eight divisions) will be held on one night (Saturday, Oct. 10) at Woodbine Mohawk Park. In 2025, the Super Finals were held over two nights.

The only other notable change for 2026 is the increase of the purses for the Grassroots Finals — set for Saturday, Oct. 3 at Woodbine Mohawk Park — from $75,000 to $85,000 due to the elimination of the Grassroots Consolation events. The decision to eliminate the Grassroots Consolations was based on low entries in 2025.

The Gold Series schedule, which will again feature five legs in each of the eight divisions, begins on Saturday, May 23 with a pair of events at Woodbine Mohawk Park for sophomore pacers. Dr. Ian Moore, the trainer of Ontario-sired 2025 Canadian and U.S. Horse of the Year Beau Jangles told the OSS that he is aiming to start the undefeated sophomore pacing colt in that first Gold event.

OSS and/or Prospect Series events will be held at all 11 of Ontario’s Standardbred tracks this year.

The season kicks off on Friday, May 15 with a pair of Prospect Series events for sophomore trotters at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

The Grassroots schedule — which features six legs with each division carrying a purse of $25,000 — starts Sunday, May 17 at Flamboro Downs with an event for three-year-old trotting fillies during the Charles Juravinski Memorial Cup card.

Other highlights in the 2026 OSS schedule include:

• Prospect Series Finals are set for Friday, Oct. 2 (three-year-old divisions) and Tuesday, Oct 6 (two-year-old divisions). Both events are at The Raceway at Western Fair District (purses of $20,000 per division)
• Gold event for three-year-old pacing colts on Monday, Aug. 3 during Industry Day at Grand River Raceway
• Grassroots event for three-year-old filly pacers on Friday, May 29 during the Camluck Classic card at The Raceway at Western Fair District
• Grassroots event for three-year-old trotting colts on Sunday, July 5 as part of the Kin Pace card at Clinton Raceway
