Oh Look Magic Back For Seventh Straight Score

Oh Look Magic

Oh Look Magic showed no rust after two weeks away as won the featured $50,000 Open Handicap Trot at Miami Valley Raceway on Wednesday, April 15 for his seventh straight victory.

Saddled with his usual outside post, Oh Look Magic floated away from post eight while Yanks Dugout (Austin Hanners) left hard from post five to cross over quickly and secure the early lead. Chris Page waited patiently for a few horses to drop in line before urging Oh Look Magic on to clear to the front before the quarter in :28. Oh Look Magic went unchallenged through the half in :56.3 and three-quarters in 1:24.1, and he led by two lengths on the final turn with Yanks Dugout all out in second. Woman Of Passion (David Miller) was under attack in third from a first-over move by Sayinwhatimthinkin (Trevor Smith) and a second-over Jogging Full Trot (Tyler Smith). Oh Look Magic was in full control down the lane and under a firm hold from Page as he strode home to win by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:52.1. Yanks Dugout held off a hard-charging Jogging Full Trot for second.

The win for Oh Look Magic was his seventh in a row and eighth in 10 starts this year. He now has 33 lifetime victories and $1,029,066 in earnings from 94 starts. The six-year-old son of Lookslikeachpndale-Miami Magic has now won 18 of his last 22 starts and leads North America in 2026 earnings with $157,500 USD. He is trained by Ron Burke and owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. The win payout was $3.20.

Page, Kayne Kauffman, Sam Widger, Tyler Smith and David Miller each had two wins on the 14-race card.
