Ladies From Hell Wires London Feature Opponents

Ladies From Hell led throughout the $10,400 optional-claiming feature pace on Tuesday, April 7 at The Raceway at the Western Fair District to tally her fourth win in her last five starts.

The veteran mare left with the car and secured control before the first turn from post five, pacing the opening quarter in :28.2. Yoda Queen (Andy Moore), unable to find a pylon seat, pressed on and raced outside the leader through the half in :59 before backing up as they rounded the third turn.

Ladies From Hell entered the backstretch with an unopposed lead, but the advance of Get Answers (Austin Sorrie) prompted Garrett Rooney to pop the plugs and put his charge to a drive at three-quarters in 1:28.4. She was chased around the final turn by Get Answers and pocket-sitter Rose Run Yvette (Tyler Borth), but Ladies From Hell rebuffed them both down the stretch to win by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:58. Rose Run Yvette took second over Get Answers.

Ladies From Hell, The Raceway’s 2025 Horse of the Year, has won four of her nine starts this season and is 60-for-238 lifetime with $386,261 in earnings. Michael Sumner trains the 12-year-daughter of Classic Card Shark-Jennys Place and shares ownership with Shae Sumner of London, Ont. The win price was $2.30.
