Canadian Harness Racing Leaders At The Quarter Pole

The 2026 Canadian harness racing season has hit the quarter mark and Trot Insider has provided a look at the drivers and trainers leading the way.

James MacDonald, five-time reigning Driver of the Year, has already driven winners of more than $1 million through the first three months of the 2026 season, with a nation-leading $1,165,895 in purse earnings. Travis Cullen has also driven winners of seven-figures with $1,115,907 accumulated to rank second in Canada. Louis-Philippe Roy is poised to pass the million-dollar mark next, checking in third in the standings currently with $924,375 earned.

A newcomer to the Canadian racing scene, Brady Galliers is the current win leader with 91 winning drives, just two more than defending national dash-winning driver Austin Sorrie and Travis Cullen.

Phil Giesbrecht tops the standings for UDRS at 0.368 followed by Bob McClure in second at 0.352 and Brandon Campbell third at 0.342.

Jodie Cullen, Canada's leading trainer over the last two years, continues to top the standings with 84 wins and stable earnings of $1,074,663. Her stable has banked close to double that of the next two top-ranked trainers, Kyle Fellows ($586,195) and David Menary ($586,010). Gerard Demers ranks second for wins with 49 while Fellows is third with 38.

David Menary boasts a nation-leading UTRS of 0.409 with Jared Mann second at 0.396 and Ron MacDonald third at 0.377.
