Acefortyfour Lilly Repeats In London Feature
Acefortyfour Lilly won her third straight race to start the season as the five-year-old cut the fractions to capture the $8,300 featured optional-claiming pace for fillies and mares on Wednesday, March 25 at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
She had the inside positioning as four horses were stacked up entering the first turn, and Acefortyfour Lilly came away with the front as the break of More Than A Woman (Tyler Borth) interfered with Bettor Belle (Austin Sorrie) and took her out of contention. The leader completed the first panel in :29.2 but was already under pressure at the bottom of the second turn with Mymomsanace (Garrett Rooney) rolling first-over.
Mymomsanace stuck with Acefortyfour Lilly through the half in :59.4 and three-quarters in 1:28.2 before raising the white flag as they straightened for the stretch. Acefortyfour Lilly then paced to the wire under mild encouragement from Lorne House to prevail by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:58.4. Woodmere Ohdoya hung on for place over the surging Brydown Wait N See (Paul MacKenzie).
The winning daughter of Dali-Stonedust Cammy is perfect in three starts in 2026 after going winless in 15 starts at four last year. Ryan Steward trains Acefortyfour Lilly, who is four-for-24 lifetime with $29,702 in earnings, for trainer Kodie Carther of Acton, Ont. The win payout was $2.90.
