Natural Hat Trick For Kanak At Track On 2

Nonversation

Trainer Rebecca Kanak doubled her meet tally at The Track On 2 as she sent out three consecutive winners to take races four through six on Saturday, March 21.

Trust Me Alot ($4) remained in strong form as the five-year-old Trust The Artist-Alot Of Sense mare marched home off cover to win the fourth race, a $4,400 claiming handicap for fillies and mares, in 1:59.3. Blake Piwniuk drove the three-quarter-length winner to her fourth tally in seven starts this season for owners Aurel Vodon and Trevor Williams.

Tahuya Velocious ($4.20) cut the mile in the fifth race and came home in :27.4 to prevail by two lengths in her seasonal debut with Mike Hennessy aboard in a conditioned claimer with a purse of $3,800. The four-year-old Always A Virgin-Tahuya Hailmary mare stopped the clock in 1:59 for owners by Williams and Harness the Energy Inc.

Nonversation ($2.90) completed the Kanak triple as she went wire-to-wire in a dominant 1:58.4 victory by 2-3/4 lengths in the sixth race, a $5,400 optional-claiming dash. Hennessy piloted the six-year-old daughter of Mystician-Say Anything, who is owned by Tara Isman, Jim Wilson, Rick Remillard and Williams. The win was her first of the season in five tries.

Kanak, now 12-for-47 on the whole this year, leads the Track On 2 standings with six victories, three ahead of Mathew Howlett. The fourth-year conditioner is coming off her best season of 78 victories and $394,421 in earnings from 234 starts. She is winning at a 25.5 per cent rate this campaign.
