Preparations For 'Stride For The Cure'
Fans will be seeing pink at the Meadowlands Racetrack on Saturday, June 23 as the track’s drivers carry pink whips in support of breast cancer research
.
For the third consecutive year, horsewoman Kelly Ford donated whips for the Lisa Photo Stride for the Cure Race. The whips will be autographed and auctioned at the track.
Pictured are Kelly Ford and daughter Reagan, along with TJ Miller, son of Andy and Julie Miller, as they bring the donation to the Meadowlands. The third annual Stride for the Cure harness race, a 5K road race, and other related events will all benefit the American Cancer Society’s research for the prevention and cure for breast cancer.
The road race begins and ends on the racetrack, giving participants the exclusive chance to go behind the Meadowlands starting gate. Post time for the runners is 3 p.m. The $25 entry fee for the walk/run includes a commemorative event t-shirt. Registration is for the event is currently open at Active.com.
Radio station WPLJ 95.5 FM will host the after-party featuring prize drawings, giveaways, drink specials and live music by DAME and other bands from 4 p.m. until the end of the races.
