Pat Lang Passes
Longtime harness racing industry participant Patrick (Pat) Traynor Lang of Rockwood, Ont. passed away on Feb. 15, 2026 at the age of 74.
A lifelong horseman, Pat’s love of harness racing was constant and unwavering. He began grooming horses at a young age and went on to serve as Farm Manager at Glencoe Farms in Howick, Que., later becoming trainer and driver for Illusion Farms of Dewittville, which he owned and operated alongside his wife, Lise. Most recently he was Stallion Manager at Tara Hills in Port Perry, Ont. Pat was widely respected for his knowledge, dedication, and willingness to share his experience with others.
Beyond the track, Pat had a deep love of music and found great joy in mentoring children, always offering encouragement and guidance to those who needed it most.
Pat is lovingly survived by his wife, Lise Pellerin Lang; his nephew Jason (Michelle), their children Emmanuel and Meghan; his sister-in-law Carole (Jim); nephew James and niece Lindsay. He was predeceased by his son Jamie, his sister Penny and his brother Scott.
A service is to be held at the Christ Church Cemetery in Franklin, Que. in the coming spring. Donations in memory of Pat to the Wellington Hospice in Guelph, Ont. would be greatly appreciated.
