Mr Pasadena Back Quick For Pocono Feature Win
Mr Pasadena, second on Pocono Downs' inaugural card of 2026 on Saturday, Feb. 14, came right back on two days’ rest to capture the featured $21,233 conditioned trot on Tuesday at the mountain oval, winning in 1:57.1.
Braxten Boyd hustled the four-year-old Green Manalishi S-Winnie The Who gelding right to the lead from the outermost post six, hitting the first station in :28.3 then getting a breather to the half in :59.2. The odds-on favourite went past the three-quarters in 1:28.1, but through the stretch 61-1 shot Moni Multiplier (Jim Pantaleano) made growling noises in the Pocono Pike, forcing Mr Pasadena to work for a half-length decision. Masseto (Tyler Buter) was third. Mr Pasadena scored his fourth career win in 35 starts as he won his second outing for trainer Jill Wine and owner Wine Stable. He paid $2.60 to win.
Simon Allard and Anthony Napolitano each guided a pair of winners on the nine-race Tuesday card. No trainer could manage more than one appearance in the winner's circle.
Pocono’s next card will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m., and like opening day, there are a pair of $27,500 USD Winners Overs, one on each gait. Those are supported by five $16,000 USD second-round preliminaries of the Game Of Claims Pacing Series, with the entrants valued this week at a base claiming price of $27,500 USD.
