Meadowlands Racetrack issued a notice on Tuesday, Jan. 13 indicating that it is retracting its earlier notification that stated the Feb. 15 Early Closer Participation (ECP) payment of $400 USD on foals of 2024 would be required to maintain eligibility for the 2027 Meadowlands Pace.  

The 2027 Meadowlands Pace, as a "stakes," will be excluded from the Meadowlands ECP program.

Any horse paid into the 2027 Meadowlands Pace by the yearling nomination payment (listed here) last year will not be required to make the $400 USD ECP payment to continue to sustain to the race.

The two-year-old Feb. 15 ECP payment of $400 USD is required for participation in all Meadowlands Early Closers and baby races for the life of the horse. For more information, visit Meadowlands Racetrack's website at playmeadowlands.com.
