Standardbred industry participant Christine Wry (nee Walsh) of Brookfield, N.S. passed away at Colchester East Hants Health Centre on Dec. 16, 2025 at the age of 58. 

She is survived by her parents, Douglas Walsh and Barbara (Merrick) Walsh; daughters, Kennedy and Holly Wry; sister, Janet (Lewis) MacDonell; nephews, Mark and Keith MacDonell.

While Christine’s working years were spent in the logistics industry, she will be remembered for the love of all horses, especially the Standardbred, being very proud of her accomplishments as an owner, trainer and competitor travelling the Maritimes with family and friends.

Service and burial will be at a later date.
