Condren Back To Victory Lane
Hall of Fame driver Steve Condren has won many of the sport’s biggest prizes throughout his illustrious career, but his victory aboard trotting filly Barbie And Ken in a $19,000 conditioned event on Thursday at Woodbine Racetrack might be one of his sweetest
.
The win was the first for Condren since being given a clean bill of health after his well-documented battle with cancer.
Fittingly, Condren celebrated the win with a student from the stable of another Hall of Famer, trainer Bob McIntosh. Their names are synonymous with Canadian harness racing, and fans that had faith in the team of Condren and McIntosh were handsomely rewarded. The filly returned $51.80.
Please join Standardbred Canada in congratulating Steve on the memorable triumph.
