The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) announced on Tuesday, Dec. 30 the approval of two more Standardbred racetrack association licences.

The AGCO has issued licenses for Kawartha Downs and Rideau Carleton Raceway.

The AGCO has been advised that race date recommendations of Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) and Ontario Racing Management (OR) for the period from April to December 2026 will be submitted to the Registrar for approval in the coming weeks. The approved race date calendars will be released at the earliest opportunity following the Registrar’s decision.

As previously announced, the following Standardbred racetrack associations have also been issued licences: Clinton Raceway, Dresden Raceway, Flamboro Downs, Georgian Downs, Grand River Raceway, Hanover Raceway, Hiawatha Horse Park, The Raceway at Western Fair District and Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Licence issuance is pending for Leamington Raceway.

Additional approved calendars will be published as soon as race dates are finalized.
