Bee Two Bee Looks For Threepeat In CDP Preferred

Bee Two Bee

A competitive $5,500 Preferred 1 Handicap Pace and the continuation of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial Fall Series headline a stacked Saturday, Nov. 29 program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Bee Two Bee, who has won this class the last two weeks from the Ashley Gamester barn, gets post six. The eight-year-old stallion, sporting a record of 10-for-30 this season, is the 5-2 favourite on the morning line will have Jason Hughes in the bike. Twin B Tuffenuff (Gilles Barrieau), a three-time Preferred winner this year, drew post five for trainer Ron Matheson.

Brookdale Johnny got the inside post for driver Paul Langille and trainer Phil Sizer as part of a stable entry for owner Doug Polley Jr. and Doug Polley Sr. The other half of that entry is post-three starter Wind Blown (Corey MacPherson).

Phil My Beer leaves from post two for trainer Landon Campbell and driver Marc Campbell, while Rose Run X Con (Adam Merner) holds down post four for trainer Nicholas Oakes.

Post Time Picks goes with Bee Two Bee on top.

“After a subpar performance three starts back, he has bounced back with back-to-back wins and he fired home in :27.1 to score in his latest. He’s even better off a covered-up trip, which isn’t great news for his competition. With this outside post, we might see Hughes trip him out, so if he picks up live cover, he could buzz by the field in the stretch.”

Race 2 is a second-leg division of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial Fall Series with a purse of $4,000. Morning-line 5-2 favourite Buddysnvirgins (Barrieau) leaves from post three for trainer Darrell Neill after winning the first leg a week ago.

The $4,500 divisions of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial are in Races 4 and 6. The first split has Power Of Four (Ryan Desroche) leaving from the rail after winning his division last week for owner-trainer Irwin Neill. He'll face 5-2 choice Phil Dorleans (Merner), who was a dominant winner in leg one. In the second leg, Heres To Art (Ken Murphy) is the top selection from post five for trainer Clifford Murphy.

Race 9 is a P.E.I.S.H.O.A. event for $3,800 with Chromed Up (MacPherson) selected on top from post two for trainer Chris MacKay.

First-race post time is 12:30 p.m. for the 16-dash card.
