Racy Roxy A Rules Saratoga Distaff Open

Racy Roxy A

Racy Roxy A went gate-to-wire to win the $26,056 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel for the second time this year on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Jay Randall drives the classy distaff, who was bet down to 8-5 favouritism in the feature, for trainer Rob Harmon.

Racy Roxy A flashed early speed to take an easy lead, and the seven-year-old never let up. After pacing through a first quarter of :27.3, Racy Roxy A got a breather to the half in :57.2 and raced unopposed through three-quarters in 1:25.4. She led into the lane, where pocket-sitter Island Bouhinia A (Jacob Cutting) came with a late bid, but the chase proved futile as Racy Roxy A reported home a 1:54.2 winner by three-quarters of a length. Island Bouhinia A was the runner-up, while P L Princess C (Jeff Long) finished third.

Racy Roxy A’s score was her seventh in 30 starts in 2025 for owner Mike Casalino Jr. The seven-year-old daughter of Mr Feelgood-Rani Major is 24-for-110 lifetime with earnings of $428,377. She paid $5.38 to win.

Live racing continues at Saratoga on Wednesday with a matinee that is set to kick off at noon.
