Super Chapter Retired, To Stand Stud
World champion three-year-old trotting colt Super Chapter has been retired from racing and will begin his stud career in 2026.
Hanover Shoe Farms announced on Tuesday, Nov. 18 the addition of Super Chapter as Pennsylvania's newest stallion.
Trained during his career by Marcus Melander and owned by Jeffrey Snyder and Arthur Pronti, Super Chapter is by Chapter Seven out of 2014 Hambletonian Oaks champion and millionaire Lifetime Pursuit.
A winner of more than $2.4 million, Super Chapter danced all the dances. He had 14 career wins and was on the board in 22 of 25 starts. His major victories included the Earl Beal Jr. Memorial at Pocono Downs, setting a 1:50 world record for three-year-old trotters on a five-eighths-mile track, as well as the Yonkers Trot, divisions of the International Stallion Stakes, Stanley Dancer Memorial and Empire Breeders Classic, finals of the Kentucky Championship Series and an elimination of the Hambletonian (second in the final). He also capped off his career with a six-length romp in the Matron Stakes.
Super Chapter will stand for a fee of $10,000 USD (pending fertility test results).
