For the last decade, the Monticello Harness Horsemen Association (MHHA) has donated to the Federation of the Homeless. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, after the third race for the North American Amateur Driving Association (NAADA), the MHHA made its annual donation of $2,500 USD to the Sullivan County Federation of the Homeless Food Pantry.

On hand for the presentation was Kathy Kreiter, Director of the Sullivan County Federation of the Homeless, Eric Warner, Monticello Raceway Race Secretary, Alan Schwartz, President of the Monticello Harness Horsemen Association, and a group of drivers that participated in the race.

“The horsemen’s association hopes that this really helps some families and others who have fallen on hard times especially during these tough times and we’re glad to help pitch in,” said Schwartz, the winner of the race and a former Marine.
