Get Answers Favoured In Top CDP Distaff Pace Thursday

Sweet Molly

A compact but competitive group of pacing fillies and mares will square off in the Thursday, Nov. 13 feature at at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The featured $4,450 Fillies & Mares Winners Over Handicap Pace is scheduled as the 11th of 12 races on the program, which has a first post time of 6 p.m. (AST).

Get Answers is the 5-2 morning line favourite from post two for the father and son, driving and training team of Marc and Landon Campbell. The five-year-old Lazarus N-Want Answers mare was just a neck shy of last week's winner, Sweet Molly, who will be driven by Brodie MacPhee again from post four with Luke Burke taking over the training duties on the four-year-old mare.

Sophomore stakes filly Badgirl Bridgette, starting between that pair, will look to make amends after a third-place finish in her latest start versus her older rivals when she steps back into action with Jason Hughes in the bike for veteran trainer Bill Lanigan.

Shake N Blake, to be driven by Ken Murphy, lands the outside post for trainer Jennifer Doyle but has been in the thick of things against similar types and remains a danger with the right trip.

My Happy Place from the Ron Matheson barn has the inside post with Gilles Barrieau driving.

The "Post Time Picks" has selected Get Answers to land on top: “Get Answers raced great last week and looked to be a winner only to be nipped in the final strides. It was an excellent effort and we’re thinking the game plan will be the same [Thursday night] only this time she hits the wire first.”

In a $3,900 Winners Over Handicap Trot in race nine, Labero is the top selection at 5-2 on the morning line from post four for driver Marc Campbell and trainer Donna Van Meer. Whole Nother is another top choice at 3-1 from post five for driver Colin Sheppard and trainer Morgan Sheppard.
