WDC Report With World Driving Champion James MacDonald
Canada's James MacDonald has commented on winning the 2025 World Driving Championship after the sixth and final leg of the competition was held at Addington Raceway in Christchurch, New Zealand on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The 2025 World Driving Championship (WDC) wrapped up at Addington on Tuesday with Canada’s James MacDonald clinching his second World Driving Championship title — capping off what had already been an unforgettable trip for the Canadian.
MacDonald shared a few brief post-victory thoughts in the sixth and final WDC Report, brought to you by Standardbred Canada.
MacDonald secured Canada’s sixth world title after finishing seventh in the 20th and final heat of the competition, the only WDC heat of the day at Addington. For a recap of the day’s action, click here.

MacDonald will enjoy one last day in beautiful Christchurch before flying home on Thursday, Nov. 13.
