Sweet Valley Romps In Vernon Feature
 
  
  Sweet Valley has been atop a peak of form as of late, and she stayed sharp with a victory in the the featured $10,563 conditioned trot at Vernon Downs on Saturday, Oct. 25.
Discus Hanover (Leon Bailey) flew off the gate and led to the quarter in :27.2 and half in :57 with Sweet Valley sitting fifth for Chris Long. Communion Money (Ron Harp) was the first to challenge as they raced around the final turn and was neck-and-neck with Discus Hanover to three quarters in 1:26.1. Sweet Valley ($5.04) then came flying four-wide at the top of the lane and blasted to a four-length victory in 1:54.4. Low Inside (Dan Daley) earned second money. What A Mission (Michael Miller) finished third.
Sweet Valley has won four of her past five starts for trainer Rob Harmon and is 10-for-30 this year. The four-year-old daughter of Il Sogno Dream-Valley Makayla, owned by Karma Racing Inc., tallied her 15th lifetime victory in 49 career outings and boosted her bankroll to $136,250.
Leon Bailey had a driving grand slam on the 12-race card. He got his wins with Bea Nameless ($10.10), Shop Micki ($6.40), Special Olivia ($7.06), and The Hunt Is On ($3.86).
