Horse Racing New Brunswick will host the second leg of the lucrative New Brunswick Breeders Stakes at Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock, N.B. on Saturday, Oct. 18 as part of its seven-dash card.

There are two N.B. Breeders Stakes divisions for two-year-old pacers with a filly division and a colts and geldings split, with both carrying a purse of $15,000.

In the filly division, the morning line favourite is Going For Blood, a daughter of first-crop sire Blood Money, for trainer and driver Kenny Arsenault. She's earned more than $37,000 in her freshman campaign and leaves from post two.

Post three starter Lady Spencer, a daughter of Lazarus N, will be looking to upset the favourite for local owner and trainer Catherine Davies and driver Sam Hodgin. She's lightly raced but has a win in 2:04.3.

In the colt division, it's a much more wide open division with Fire And Blood and Tiziano the two favourites.

Fire And Blood is also from first-crop sire Blood Money, owned by Dr. Mitch Downey of Saint John, N.B. He's earned more than $25,000 in nine starts, and leaves from post four for driver Mike Downey.

Tiziano, another son of Blood Money, also has earned in excess of $25,000 and will have Neldie MacDonald in the driver's seat for his connections. Tiziano has post three.

Kenny Arsenault will catch-drive Kapueno from post five. The son of Betterthancheddar has won four of his eight races and earned more than $18,000 in 2025.

There's also a $2,000 overnight top class that includes Golf Cup & Saucer Consolation winner Nuttin But Finesse and Mike Downey from post four. His biggest threat is the consistent Whats Inthe Esky A and Colin Decourcey, starting to his inside from post three.

First post time is 1 p.m. (ADT). As always, parking and admission at Connell Park Raceway are free.
