Faceofafranchise topped the fourth annual Winner's Circle Speed Sale, held at the Michigan State University Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education in East Lansing, Mich. on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Faceofafranchise, from the first crop of Maple Leaf Trot winner Lindy The Great and out of Homefortheholidays, was purchased for $38,194 ($27,500 USD) by Marotta Investments. Consigned by Overtime Stable, the colt is a half-brother to stakes winners Drink Up Drink Up ($423,902 - 1:52.1), Bills Lady ($144,377 - 1:54.3), and Winter Mint ($154,322 - 1:57). Homefortheholidays' half-siblings include stakes winners Holiday Fest and Noifsaboutit.

The Overtime Stable consignment accounted for the two highest-priced trotters of the 34 who left with new owners. As I Am (Lindy The Great-As You Are) was the second highest-priced trotter, attracting a bid of $36,111 ($26,000 USD) form Keya Morgan.

Sunsetacresjaguar, a Captain Victorious-Gotagetuptogetdown colt, was the highest grossing pacer at $36,111 (26,000 USD), purchased by Ron Davis from Sunset Acres. Vicky (Captain Victorious-Joyful Game) attracted the highest bid for a pacing filly, selling to Steve Oldford for $33,333 ($24,000 USD) from Ernie Lambright.

Oldford was the sale's overall top buyer, spending a total of $113,889 ($82,000 USD) on four horses: pacing fillies Vicky and Mathematics (Captain Victorious-Always A Plus, $25,000), trotting filly Sunset Acres Jojo (Muscles For Life-Classic Rewind, $30,556), and pacing colt Kirk (Captain Victorious-Dreamadreamforme, $25,000).

A total of $1,068,333 ($769,200 USD) changed hands at the Winner's Circle Speed Sale, making the one-day event the highest-grossing edition of the sale in its four-year history.

LilliVin Farm was the highest-grossing consignor, selling 16 horses for a total $281,250 ($202,500 USD), followed by Overtime Stable (11 horses, $238,056) and Sunset Acres (five horses, $106,250).

In total, of the 105 horses to pass through the sales ring, 89 went home to new owners with an average price of $12,004 ($8,643 USD).
