Blood Money Stakes Postponed Until 2026

Harness racing at Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock, N.B.

The Blood Money Stakes for two-year-old pacing colts and fillies sired by Blood Money, which was originally scheduled for earlier this summer at Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock, N.B., will be contested in 2026.

With the tragic events of June 14th at Connell Park Raceway, the stakes calendar required adjustments to accommodate various paid in events.

"As such, the only available free day for this event is Nov. 1," stated a release from Horse Racing New Brunswick. "It is felt the season has been long enough and as such, the event will be contested at Connell Park Raceway in 2026."

Only those two-year-olds who raced and earned money will be considered eligible for the event with the same conditions applying (top seven money earners from either sex).
