American Risk Triumphs In Truro Winners Over

American Risk returned to winning form in the Winners Over Pace at Truro Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 28, taking the victory from gate-to-wire.

Keith Legge and the George Rennison student took command early from post two and never looked back as they set the tempo in :27, :57.2 and 1:26.2. With a :29 final quarter, American Risk continued home to score by two lengths in 1:55.2. Bettor On Than Off (Ernie Laffin) finished second and Woodmere Ideal Art (Robert Laffin) finished third.

Owned by Risky Bizz Group of Truro, N.S., the nine-year-old gelded son of American Ideal and the Art Major mare Kissing Bandit won his ninth race in 19 starts, moving his career record to 51-24-29 in 149 starts. American Risk moved his lifetime sum to $150,840. He paid $2.80 to win.
