Chotat Milk Passes

Winbak Farm has announced the passing of longtime broodmare Chotat Milk at the age of 23.
“Chotat Milk was a classy racehorse and a great mother,” said Joe Thomson, Winbak Farm Owner. “She was purchased by the farm because of her good looks and success as a racehorse at the 2014 Harrisburg Sale; she had already started her broodmare career.”
The daughter of Jate Lobell - Tre Cress was bred by Cress Farms and trained during her career by Virgil Morgan Jr. A winner of 19 races, she was a multiple stakes winner at two and three. At two, she won four times and had two seconds from seven starts. Her wins included the Arden Downs Stake, Hanover Stakes division, Kentucky Sire Stakes leg, Tompkins-Geers Stake. She was second in Lexington Breeders Classic elimination and Final.
At three, Chotat Milk earned $465,534. She won an Adioo Volo Stakes division, Breeders Crown elimination, Hanover Stakes division, Mistletoe Shalee Stakes Final, and Tompkins-Geers Stakes. She was second in a Jugette Stakes elimination (fourth in Final) and third in an American-National Stakes elimination, Breeders Crown Final, Cinderella Stakes, Fan Hanover Stakes elimination and Nadia Lobell Pace Final. She retired with a mark of 1:51 and $612,984 in earnings.
“Winbak Farm has two of Chotat Milk’s daughters — Blueberry Shake and Groovy Jane Ann — in the broodmare band,” said Jack Burke, General Manager. “We hope her daughters are able to pass on her grit and speed.”
As a broodmare, Chotat Milk’s offspring were led by multiple New York Sire Stakes Winner, Groovy Joe, p, 2, 1:52f; 3, 1:48.4s ($729,812), and Cash Your Dreams, p, 3, 1:54.2f; 1:51.2f ($98,392). She is the second dam of Vel Letsroll South,p, 2, 1:55.2s; 3, 1:52.3; 1:50f ($209,095). Her last foal, a McWicked yearling filly named Allstar Allison, will sell at Harrisburg.
