Yonkers International Trot Post Draw On Tuesday

The post position draws for $1 million USD MGM Yonkers International Trot (Grade 1) along with the $200,000 USD Bob Miecuna Invitational Trot (Grade 2) and Aria Invitational Pace (Grade 2) will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Zero Otto Nove in Tuckahoe, New York. The races will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13 at MGM Yonkers Raceway.

The draws are expected to begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. and will be streamed on Yonkers Raceway's Facebook page. 

The International Trot field and the country each starter is representing follows, listed in alphabetical order:

Both the Miecuna and the Aria will be contested at a distance of a mile and a quarter. The Aria will be the fifth race on the card, while the Miecuna will go as race seven. Post time for Saturday's program at Yonkers is now 12:20 p.m. The International Trot, which will go as the sixth race on the program and has an estimated post time of 3 p.m., will be shown on Fox Sports 2 as part of America's Day at the Races. 

The International Trot will be part of a Cross Country Pick 5 and there will be a $20,000 guaranteed Pick 5 pool on the program done in partnership with the United States Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering Program.

A lunch buffet will be open to the public in the Empire Terrace dining room. The cost is $80 USD per person plus tax and gratuity.

Yonkers' normal Monday/Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday live racing schedule will have some deviations over the new two weeks. This week, Yonkers will have a program on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and will be dark on Friday, Sept. 12 in preparation for the International Trot program on Saturday, Sept. 12. Wednesday racing will also take place on Sept. 17 as part of a Monday-Saturday six-day slate next week.
