Mohawk To Host Family Community Day Saturday

Woodbine Mohawk Park is set kick off the 2025 Breeders Crown Charity Challenge and lead up to harness racing’s year-end championship with a free Family Community Day this Saturday, Aug. 30.
Sponsored by Millar Farms and the Central Ontario Standardbred Association (COSA), the Family Community Day will offer a wide-range of activities from 2-5 p.m. ahead of that evening’s live racing. The day will introduce and support this year’s charities for the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge.
The event will include free hot dogs, pony and sulky rides, a magic show, face painting and kids crafts, Standardbred horse demonstrations, paddock tours, activity stations, free t-shirts, an Ontario Racing station, the VR Race Experience and industry booths.
The charities participating in this year’s Breeders Crown Charity Challenge are Milton District Hospital Foundation, Food4Kids Halton, Peter Monk Cardiac Centre and Kids Help Phone.
Full details and the teams for this year’s Breeders Crown Charity Challenge will be announced later this week.
Following the Family Community Day, Woodbine Mohawk Park will offer one of its biggest cards of the racing season, headlined by the Canadian Pacing Derby and Maple Leaf Trot.
