Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham’s Itsrockandroll A ($18.20, Allan Davis) was a 1:53.2 winner in the $24,658 Open Pace Monday (Aug. 25) at Harrington Raceway.

The 10-year-old A Rocknroll Dance gelding surged down the inside to grab the win over Rocknroll Lou and Captaincountrystar in his first start since May 26. The victory was his fifth win of the year for trainer Don Brittingham. The win pushed Itsrockandroll A over $790,000 in career earnings after making his first start since May. The former Harrington horse of the meet has already banked more than $165,000 this year. 

On the undercard, PT Stable’s Effingham ($3.60, Art Stafford Jr.) was a 1:53.2 winner in the $20,139 winners-over pace for trainer Crissy Crissman-Bier, who teamed with Stafford to win both halves of the daily double.

Later on the card, Crissman Inc.’s World Beater ($3.60, Montrell Teague) won his third straight race despite post eight in 1:55.2.

Corey Callahan had three wins on the card.
