David Lloyd Poley of Dundas, Ont. passed away on Sept. 24, 2024, at the age of 87.

Dave was born on April 25, 1937 to Bevan Bruce Poley and Flora Christine (Duncan) Poley. Dave married J. Marie (Wadman) Poley in 1959 and together they had four children. He was a loving father to Elaine (Ian), Bobby (predeceased), Tammy (Mario) and David (predeceased), and grandfather to Mario (Mariya) and Michael (Sarah).

Dave was the youngest of seven children. He will be missed by brother Bevan Poley and sisters-in-law Patricia Wadman, Claire Kalvaitis, Linda Thorsen, many nieces and nephews, friends across Canada, and special companion, Cole.

Dave was involved in harness racing for decades as a former trainer and also worked for Flamboro Downs on the track maintenance crew, Doyle Horse Transport shipping horses between Canada and the U.S., and helped out at Meadowbranch Training Centre. He loved the horse business and he loved the animals.
