Scioto Card Cut Short, Ohio Sires Stakes To Be Rescheduled

The Saturday, July 26 card at Eldorado Scioto Downs had to be cancelled after four races due to rain and flooding, according to track officials.
The Ohio Sires Stakes events for two and three-year-old pacing colts that were part of the cancelled card will be rescheduled to a later date to be determined on Monday, July 28.
Racing is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, July 29 with qualifiers at 3:45 p.m., followed by the 13-race card with a first post scheduled off time of 5:52 p.m.
Due to Ohio State Racing Commission rules, Saturday’s $40,000 guaranteed Pick-5 pool paid out three of four from the new money bet into the pool. Tuesday’s card will feature another $40,000 guaranteed Pick-5 starting in race one; the pool will be started with the $12,316 carryover from Friday’s late Pick-5.
