After a false start this past Sunday, the 2025 harness racing meet at The Track On 2 in Alberta will attempt to begin again this weekend with post time for an eight-race card on Sunday, July 27 at 1:10 p.m. (MDT).

The featured dash at the one-mile Lacombe, Alta. oval is the $5,800 conditioned pace in the afternoon's seventh race. Mylittle Gingerman is the prohibitive 3-1 morning line favourite from post two for driver Phil Giesbrecht and trainer Kelly Hoerdt. Hoerdt himself leaves from post seven aboard 5-1 choice Rum N Custard, with Loaded Dragon (PP9, Mike Hennessy, 7-2), Tropical Dragon (PP4, Dave Kelly, 4-1) and Electric Amadeus (PP8, Tom Miller, 9-2) also receiving support on the morning line in the field of nine.

Live harness racing will resume on Sunday, Aug. 3 with Sunday cards throughout the month. Come September, The Track on 2 will add a special Monday card on Sept. 1 then race three days per week — Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday — through to Sunday, Sept. 21. First post time will be 1:10 p.m. MT for all cards.
