Forty Gs Continues Win Streak At Vernon

Lightly raced four-year-old Forty Gs stretched his win streak to seven in a $7,534 conditioned trot on Friday, July 18 at Vernon Downs.
Trained and driven by Roman Lopez, Forty Gs took command mid-mile and won by two lengths over Yankees Beast (Steeven Genois) and Sevenatchi (John MacDonald) in 1:56.1 as the overwhelming favourite coming off back-to-back career-best 1:55 victories.
Forty G's seven-race win streak stretches back to last September and includes five victories this year. Unraced as a two-year-old, he boasts a near-perfect career record of 10 wins and one second-place finish from 11 starts with $34,945 in purse earnings.
Bred by Coyote Wynd Farms of Vancouver, B.C., the son of Muscle Hill and Sheer Glide is owned by Lopez and partners Mitchell Frair of Vernon, New York and Donna Duer of Bell, Florida.
Crazy Crown and driver John MacDonald won the Friday night feature, an $8,904 conditioned trot, by a length over the oncoming favourite What A Mission (Michael Miller) and pocket-pursuer Jesmach On Target in 1:56.2 for the mild 6-1 upset. Jessica Okusko trains the four-year-old Crazy Wow-Con Air Crown gelding, who is owned by the Purple Haze Stables of Fairport, New York.
Live harness racing returns to Vernon Downs on Saturday, July 19, with a post time of 5:05 p.m.
