Kinnder Hotblood Best Again At Vernon

Kinnder Hotblood took her third victory in four starts at Vernon Downs as she captured the $10,274 featured trot on Thursday, July 17.

Emotions Riches (Michael Miller) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :28.3 before Kinnder Hotblood ($2.30) took over for trainer-driver Jimmy Whittemore, fronting the field to the half in :57.2 and three-quarters in 1:26. Kinnder Hotblood then kicked away at the top of the stretch and won going away by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:56.3. Zapaca (Steeven Genois) came up to finish second over Helphasarrived (Claude Huckabone Jr.).

Kinnder Hotblood, a four-year-old Kadabra-Her Name Is Lola mare, is three-for-four since moving to Vernon for owner Janie Kellogg. The former Ontario Sires Stakes contender is now 10-for-26 lifetime with four wins in nine tries this year.

John MacDonald had a driving double on the eight-race card. Joe Sansone recorded a training double.
