Louprint Holds Top Spot In Standardbred Poll
Louprint and Twin B Joe Fresh remained in the top two spots while Emoticon Legacy moved from fourth to third, swapping positions with Ken Hanover for the only change in the Top 10, in the Week 4 edition of the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released on Wednesday, July 9.
Emoticon Legacy, who won the Dr. Harry M. Zweig Memorial at Vernon Downs, was one of two horses in the Top 10 in action last week. The other was No. 8 Brue Hanover, who won the Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park this past Saturday.
Louprint received 31 of 35 first-place votes to remain No. 1 for the fourth week. Emoticon Legacy got two and No. 2 Twin B Joe Fresh and No. 4 Ken Hanover got one each. Miki And Minnie rounded out the top five.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will continue weekly on Wednesdays through the Grand Circuit season, does not determine year-end awards. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus U.S. Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
