Yet to taste defeat on Canadian soil in 2025, Logan Park cruised once again in the $36,000 Preferred Trot, which highlighted the 11-race card on Monday, July 7 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The 1-2 favourite from post three, Logan Park and driver Doug McNair floated off the wings of the gate into third while Osceola (Trevor Henry) looped around Fashion Frenzie (Louis-Philippe Roy) to take the field of six to the quarter in :27. McNair wheeled Logan Park to the top on the backstretch, but was quickly joined to his outside by Gaines Hanover (Bob McClure) as the two blitzed to the half in :54.4. Logan Park released Gaines Hanover to the lead on the final turn, following from the pocket as the new leader reached three-quarters in a sizzling 1:22.3.

Turning for home, Gaines Hanover quickly began to drift off the cones, providing Logan Park with open road to his inside. Trotting home in :28, the double millionaire powered past before trotting on to a 1-3/4-length victory in 1:51. Fashion Frenzie split rivals late to be second while Gaines Hanover held for third.

Trained by Kyle Fellows, Logan Park has now won five of six starts in 2025 for owners Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo. The seven-year-old gelded son of Archangel-Rite Outa The Park has made $93,265 on the year and went over $2.1 million in career earnings following his 41st lifetime victory.

While the cagey vet stole the show in the Preferred Trot, two-year-olds also stepped into the Monday spotlight with four $25,000 divisions of Ontario Sire Stakes Grassroots for two-year-old pacing fillies.

The fastest of the four divisions went to the dazzling Daya, from the first crop of Bulldog Hanover who delivered a 1:52, 4-1/2 length romp in her division after a second-over trip. With familiar connections to her world champion sire, Jody Jamieson drove for owner and trainer Jack Darling.

The other three divisions went to Naughty Delight (James MacDonald) in 1:54 for trainer Anthony Beaton, McBubbles (Bob McClure) in 1:54.2 for trainer John Pentland and Chicanery (Travis Cullen) in 1:53.1 for trainer Daniel Lagace.
